Children Receive Donated School Supplies
Back-to-school time for many families means new clothes, shoes and backpacks. But for some low-income families, the cost of new school supplies places an extra burden on their budgets.
This week, more than 1,000 children received new backpacks full of the supplies they need to succeed in school. Several corporations, organizations and individual donors responded to the need by collecting school supplies for families served by Catholic Charities.
The generous organizations include:
- General Mills Volunteer Council and Customer Service Division
- Target Government Affairs Division
- Medica
- Caring Tree
- Academy of Neurology
- St. Paul Cathedral
- Frederickson & Byron law firm
The donated items went directly to children served in Catholic Charities' Children's Services, Family Services and Housing & Emergency Services divisions.
You can help more children succeed in school. Make a financial gift or view our agency wish list of items needed year-round.
