This year, Catholic Charities of St. Paul and Minneapolis
had the honor of nominating one of our most dedicated
advocates, Bill Tingerthal, for the Catholic Charities USA
National Volunteer of the Year award. We are happy to
announce that he was chosen as one of seven finalists
across the country!

Discussions That Encounter

A dialogue on Race, Racism and White Privilege
When:   2nd and 4th Thursday of each month (year round) at 6:30 p.m.
Location: 
Phillips Community Center -Mpls (map)  - on the 2nd Thursday
St. Olaf Church - Mpls (map) - on the 4th Thursday

The Discussions That Encounter program is sponsored by Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church (facilitator Pastor Arthur Agnew) and St.Olaf Catholic Church (facilitator Bill Keatts). The objective of Discussions That Encounter is to raise awareness, establish relationships, and assist everyone in overcoming racism while providing education on historical and current topics. These discussions and educational events are sponsored free of charge to provide an environment where people from all walks of life and backgrounds can openly and respectfully discuss any aspects of racism. A light supper begins at 6:30 pm, followed by discussion until 8:30 pm.
