Advocate for Housing this Holiday Season!

OSJ_PeaceLoveHope
While you’re making your holiday card list this season, consider spreading some holiday cheer at the Capitol! It’s a great way to help your legislators get to know you, and to build important relationships that will be key for advocating for important issues, especially once Minnesota’s session starts up in February.

In 2014, Catholic Charities, along with many of our partners, will be advocating for money for affordable housing. One great way to kick off our work this session would be to tell your legislators why you’re thankful for safe and secure housing, and to ask them to support bonding dollars to ensure that all Minnesotans have a place to call home.

This message is important for state-level legislators (your Minnesota Representative, Minnesota Senator, and the Governor), but you should also feel free to send cards to your Members of Congress, Mayor, etc.

If you have any questions, or would like to learn more about our advocacy work, please contact Catholic Charities Office for Social Justice at osj@cctwincities.org or 651-647-2588.

Thank you, and happy holidays!
