Advocate for Housing this Holiday Season!

OSJ_PeaceLoveHope
While you’re making your holiday card list this season, consider spreading some holiday cheer at the Capitol! It’s a great way to help your legislators get to know you, and to build important relationships that will be key for advocating for important issues, especially once Minnesota’s session starts up in January.

In 2015, Catholic Charities, along with many of our partners, will be advocating for increasing access to housing stability, providing opportunities to end the cycles of intergenerational poverty, expanding pathways to success, and promoting confidence and participation in government. One great way to kick off our work this session would be to tell your legislators what you value most about your family life, and to ask them to support initiatives that help all Minnesota families to access opportunity and stability.

This message is important for state-level legislators (your Minnesota Representative, Minnesota Senator, and the Governor), but you should also feel free to send cards to your Members of Congress, Mayor, etc.

If you have any questions, or would like to learn more about our advocacy work, please contact Catholic Charities Office for Social Justice at osj@cctwincities.org or 651-647-2588.

Thank you, and happy holidays!
