Mary Hall Single Room Occupancy
The Mary Hall Single Room Occupancy (SRO) program provides a dignified affordable housing environment for single adults. The facility has a capacity for 57 men and 18 women. Residents have overnight visitor privileges and access to health care, job search assistance and case management.
There are 75 private furnished rooms with shared community areas, including kitchens. Residents pay 30 percent of their monthly income for rent. The St. Paul Public Housing Agency subsidizes the remainder.
Responsibilities: - Clients must qualify for public housing
- Must call every Monday to reaffirm interest
- Security deposit and first month's rent upon admission
- Rent based on income
2009 Outcomes: - Mary Hall Single Room Occupancy housed 107 people
- 87 percent of residents who moved out moved into market-rate housing or housing that better addressed their needs
