Migration and Refugee Services’ Immigration Services assists refugees, relatives and immigrants with immigration forms and processes at a low cost with a focus on reuniting families, filing for permanent residency and naturalization and completing other paperwork. The program is affiliated with Catholic Legal Immigration Network, which trains staff to offer approved services.
Services:
- Assistance with paperwork for family reunification of eligible refugees and asylees
- Assistance with immigration forms and processes
- Basic immigration services to low-income individuals at minimal cost; staff are accredited by the federal Board of Immigration Appeals
2008 Program Outcomes:
- Immigration Services served 905 people in 2008 with 937 client sessions, 183 citizenship
applications and 435 permanent residency applications.
Responsibilities/Fees:
First priority to serve those arriving through United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB)
