Summary:
• With supervision, assists in the control of inventory of all on-site food supplies to be used and assist in the ordering of all food items, supplies and paper products.
• Assists in the responsibility of kitchen maintenance, security of equipment, health and safety standards and procedures in accordance with health department standards and procedures.
• Helps prepare meals of the day – breakfast, lunch and/or dinner as needed.
• Assists in stocking of food supplies, including stocking and rotating of food in the coolers and freezers, and rotation of bakery items.
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining area.
• Responsible for preparation of bag lunches, as required.
• Participates as a member of work teams.
• Attends various workshops, in-service training, staff development and conferences as coordinated with supervisor for ongoing development of job related skills.
• Driving of personal vehicle and/or agency van may be required.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school graduate or equivalent required, Culinary Arts degree preferred.
• One year of food preparation experience in large volume kitchen required.
• Comfortable working with diverse client population.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

ADMISSIONS SPECIALISTSt. Joseph’s Home for Children
$42,993.60 to $53,768 annually
Summary:• Handle intake screening including: problem assessment, consultations, information and referral assistance, case assignments and intake scheduling.
• Handle all intake functions required for client orientation, case processing, fee discussions, data collection and quality assurance needs.
• Maintain intake log, client records and other administrative reports as required.
• Oversee the processing of appropriately authorized requests for closed case information, reports or records regarding former clients.
• May supervise graduate interns or volunteers as assigned.
• Provide diagnostic assessments, treatment plans and appropriate clinical interventions for children, adolescents, families or adults clients as assigned.
• May facilitate therapy or educational groups, presentation or workshops on family or mental health related topics.
• Maintain client records, statistical, evaluative and time management reports as required by division and agency.
• Meet with supervisor for case consultation and other service related needs as required by policy and law.
• Participate in staff meetings, peer case consultations, in-services, case record reviews and CQI process as required.
• May service on various agency or division or division committees pertinent to program planning, service collaborations or social justice issues.
• Assist with implementation of marketing plan/strategies which may require occasional travel.

Minimum Qualifications
• Master’s Degree in Social Worker, Psychology or Counseling Psychology
• Must hold an independent clinical license to practice in the State of Minnesota (LICSW, LP, LMFT, LPCC)
• Knowledge of the diagnosis and treatment of children’s mental disorders; dynamics and needs of victims of physical, sexual or substance abuse; the effects of poverty, cultural difference and functional disabilities on people’s ability to manage their lives; bio-psycho-social assessment, DSM IV diagnoses, counseling skills.
• Knowledge and ability to facilitate access to community resources
• Sensitivity to client context in terms of ethnicity, culture, income, sexual orientation or religious affiliation; good communication and public relation skills.
• Strong organizational skills and computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Must have current drivers license acceptable to insurance company, access to a reliable vehicle and proof of insurance.

PUBLIC POLICY MANAGER
Office for Social Justice
$49,830 to $62,790 annually
Summary:
• Supervise and work with the Public Policy organizer to develop issue organizing plans, including working with the issue action teams or key district teams related to housing, healthcare, immigration and other policy issue areas.
• Work with the coordinator to organize and mobilize the advocacy component of the Sowers of Justice network on selected public policy issues through training sessions, annual issue briefings and periodic action alerts. Update and revise web site as appropriate.
• Provide consultation, programs and educational resources for parishioners and parish staff to facilitate their work in faith-based legislative advocacy through the development of Sowers Assemblies.
• Work with parish leadership staff to better integrate the policy and organizing dimensions of the office.
• Assist in the development of the Catholic Charities/OSJ public policy agenda and represent OSJ and CC at the Capitol.
• Represent the Office for Social Justice on selected legislative and public policy coalitions.
• Assist Catholic Charities staff in taking action on public policy issues by providing them with appropriate information and training.
• Represent the office and agency at appropriate media events.
• When appropriate, serve as a resource to the Advocacy Committee of Catholic Charities Board of Directors.
• Assist in the development and implementation of other parish-based social justice education and training programs.
• Assist the administrator of the Office for Social Justice in providing effective leadership in the legislative activities of the Office for Social Justice.
• Maintain ongoing collaborative relationships with the Joint Religious Legislative Coalition, the Minnesota Catholic Conference, and the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Public Affairs, Theology or related fields. Master’s Degree preferred.
• 5 years experience in public policy analysis and understanding of Catholic social teaching.
• Experience in training and leading other people to engage in legislative advocacy.
• Ability to write clearly and speak persuasively; skills in group process. Fluency in Spanish a plus.
• Must have valid driver’s license acceptable to insurance company, and proof of auto insurance.

HOUSING OUTREACH REPRESENTATIVE
Located at Branch III
$31,345 to $38,555 Annually
SUMMARY:
• Conduct an initial needs assessment of eligible clients who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness in assigned program area.
• Assist with eligibility assessment and determination for potential clients seeking services to obtain and/or maintain housing.
• Create and develop an individually tailored case plan for each client.
• Determine the appropriate stabilization services to include in a client’s case plan.
• Administer financial assistance to eligible clients for rent arrearages and/or utility bills when appropriate.
• Provide clients with housing relocation assistance including application fee, damage deposit and/or first month’s rent when appropriate.
• Negotiate with landlord and family members and mitigate landlord/tenant disputes when appropriate.
• May provide rental subsidies to eligible clients when appropriate.
• Provide transportation assistance to clients when appropriate
• Connect clients to other community resources including but not limited to: employment and training programs, food shelves, public assistance, SSI and SSDI, childcare, transportation, subsidized housing opportunities and legal assistance.
• Facilitate client’s access to services from other providers by directly making referrals and assisting with paperwork and transportation to referral services when appropriate.
• Ensure that client intakes, case notes, case files, observation and incident reports are completed according to procedure and adhere to program policies.
• Responsible for collection and compilation of necessary data and information for program reports and evaluation and reporting to funders.
• Develop and utilize Empowerment principles and support the use of Restorative Justice and Harm Reduction within the program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• B.A. in human services field, plus (2) two years experience working with homeless or low income population preferred. In lieu of degree, minimum of (5) five years experience working with this specific population in a similar role, of which (2) years includes experience in case management or outreach.
• Working knowledge of resources for housing.
• Experience working with persons from various cultural backgrounds.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required.
• Ability to handle difficult situations in a sensitive and caring manner.
• Must have drivers license, good driving record and proof of current insurance.
