How to Host a Donation Drive

Organizing a parish, business, school or group donation drive to support people in need served by Catholic Charities is easy. Here's how:

1. Determine what items you will collect. A few ideas:

  • Hold a food drive to benefit Catholic Charities' three food shelves. Donations are needed year-round. View needed food items on our agency wish list.
  • Hold a baby shower to collect items such as diapers and clothing for new mothers and babies served by Prenatal Services.
  • Host a hygiene kit drive to collect personal toiletry items such as toothbrushes, lotion, bar soap and shaving products for homeless teens and adults at our emergency shelters.
  • Hold a collection or drive to collect items on our agency wish list.
  • Or, call Volunteer Resources at 612-204-8435 to learn about more options.

2. Collect the items.

3. Arrange your donation drop-off by calling Volunteer Resources at
612-204-8435 or e-mailing volunteer@cctwincities.org. If you are a parish group, contact Rebecca Lentz for more information.
