St. Joe's Community Health Clinic

Community health clinic for children ages newborn – 20, most of whom participate in Catholic Charities' Children's Services Division through Northside Child Development Center, Hope Street for Homeless and Runaway Youth or St. Joseph’s Home for Children.

Services:

  • Direct health care to children, including immunizations and screenings
  • Health and injury consultation
  • Health-related information for children, guardians and staff
  • Well-child and well-teen check-ups
  • Developmental screenings
  • Mental health screenings
  • Dentistry and optometry referrals
  • Pediatricians and nurse practitioners onsite in conjunction with the University of Minnesota

Responsibilities / Fees:

  • County contracts
  • Private health insurance
  • Medicaid
  • Charitable care based on availability

2009 Program Results:

  • 1,266 physical health screenings were completed
  • 112 infections were treated at intake
  • 322 abuse/neglect assessments were completed
  • Hours:
    Daily, 24 hours

    Registered nurses are onsite 17 hours a weekday and 14 hours each weekend day and on call 24 hours a day.
